The F-22 Raptor represents the pinnacle of modern air superiority, designed to dominate the skies with speed, stealth, and advanced technology. Developed by Lockheed Martin and introduced into service in 2005, the F-22 was the world’s first operational 5th-generation stealth fighter, integrating low observability with high maneuverability, sensor fusion, and precision strike capabilities.

Powered by two Pratt & Whitney F119 engines, the Raptor is capable of flying at speeds over Mach 2 and maintaining supersonic cruise without afterburners—a capability known as supercruise. Its thrust-vectoring nozzles and aerodynamic design allow it to execute unmatched maneuvers in combat. Equipped with state-of-the-art radar-evading materials, cutting-edge avionics, and integrated electronic warfare systems, the F-22 gives its pilots first-look, first-shot, first-kill capability—often engaging targets before being detected. Today, it remains a cornerstone of U.S. air dominance and one of the most formidable fighter aircraft ever built.

ABOUT THE RELIC

This artwork includes an authentic Air Combat Command (ACC) patch, produced by an official military patch manufacturer for the U.S. Air Force. Formed in 1992 following the inactivation of Tactical Air Command and Strategic Air Command, ACC is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping forces for air superiority, global strike, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. The patch is typically worn on the left sleeve of flight suits and duty uniforms by airmen assigned to ACC, including pilots of the F-22 Raptor—one of the most advanced air dominance fighters in the world. The patch featured in this piece comes directly from approved U.S. military suppliers, offering a genuine and tangible link to the command structure behind America’s most elite aerial forces.
