Details About the RELIC:

This original fragment is from the second prototype B-1A Lancer, 74-0159. On 29 August 1984, 74-0159 was conducting flight testing at the Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base when an aft center of gravity situation developed and pitched the nose up. The aircraft became uncontrollable and resulted in a crash 22 miles NE of the base. The crew ejected with the test pilot receiving fatal injuries due to a parachute malfunction. These items have never been in collector's circulation and were sourced directly on site. From the G. Frazier collection.

Fine Art Paper Print (Options C & D) - Relic Not Included:

Each Fine Art Print is printed on archival presentation-quality, 260 GSM / 10 Mil, photographic paper created using the highest quality inks and archival techniques. Photographs do not do this paper substrate justice as it practically "glows" on the wall.
Note: Relic is not included with Fine Art Paper Prints.

The Story Behind the Print:

Designed to replace the aging B-52 and B-58 bomber fleets, the B-1A Lancer was designed to accommodate a similar weapons payload, take off on shorter runways to allow more base flexibility and fly at supersonic speeds (up to Mach 2.2). Due to the high cost and political opposition, the original quota of 244 B-1As was canceled in 1977 by President Carter with only the four prototypes to continue limited testing. In 1981, President Reagan resurrected the program with modifications such as a slower top speed of Mach 1.2, but faster low-altitude performance. By 1988, 100 B-1Bs had been delivered to the United States Air Force.

"I just wanted to thank you again for the INCREDIBLE work you did.

Many, many tears were shed Christmas morning when my dad and uncles opened the canvas prints and the plaques. They were absolutely blown away and said it was the best gift they have ever received.

I can’t thank you enough for giving my family a piece of our history and giving us a piece of my Pops back. I truly have no words, but rather a heart full of gratitude.

Thank you so much again!"

"I collect a fair amount of military artwork rendered in all types of mediums, and so I also end up seeing a wide range of quality as well. Much of what is out there is rather mediocre. But every once in a while, as in your case, a true gem of an artist comes along. In my personal experience, both as a collector of military-themed artwork, and as a long-time student of much of the technology of warfare, your aircraft prints are among the very best I have had the good fortune to acquire. Above all, they are simply fascinating and enjoyable to just look at."

"The custom plaques arrived yesterday, not only was the process much faster then I thought it would be, but the plaques look absolutely great! I really love them and I'm sure the rest of my siblings will love them too. Thanks for doing such great work, the plaques will be cherished and appreciated for many years to come.On a slightly different note, I ordered a print of my dad's plane, it should arrive tomorrow, I look forward to seeing it too and am sure it will be every bit as fantastic as the plaques are,

I plan to check out more of your work, maybe there will be other prints I will want as well.

Thanks again for all you have done and continue to do.

I have just received the print of the A6M Zero and I just had to write to tell you how impressed I am with it. I have, of course, left good feedback for you but the space for writing a feedback comment isn't big enough to say everything I want to say. I really was stunned by the quality of both the artwork and the printing. I feel as if I can run my fingers over the undulations on the aircraft's panels - the whole thing is so three-dimensional. The print quality is second to none and even the paper seems to glow! There aren't many times in life when you buy something for a very modest amount of money and then find yourself speechless with admiration when it arrives but this is one of those times. Although I am mainly a Zero enthusiast I strongly suspect I am soon to become very interested in your other subjects purely because of the quality.

"I purchased several amazing prints from you at Warbirds Over the Beach this past weekend, and I wanted to make good on my promise to send you a picture of them once I got them displayed in my home!  I'm very, very happy with them and honestly can't stop looking at them!  I posted this and several other pictures to my Facebook page and gave your studio a tag, and several of my friends have already remarked on how much they like them as well! Thank you again for the opportunity to own and appreciate such unique works of art!"

"I recently purchased an original painting from Mr. Tinder to go in my living room, and, I have to say, the gradations and variations he plays with in his abstract art couldn't match my home better! The opposing colors--tones of red on the one side, tones of green on the other--and their gradual shifts in color that meet in the middle on the middle of the canvas suggest a certain harmony and, paradoxically, diversity. It's a great piece, and I'm proud to have it hanging in my home!"

"As a lifelong WWII aviation enthusiast, I can tell you Craig Tinder's work is outstanding! I am very familiar with the aircraft, paint schemes, & aces of the time. Craig's attention to detail & accuracy is fantastic. The prints are beautiful with rich colors & subtle detail that almost jumps out at you from the paper. These prints will make a great addition to any home or office collection, as well as a great gift! I highly recommend them."
