Details about the Hand Tied Fly:

Print Option B includes a hand tied "Royal Wulff" dry fly pattern by artist and master fly tyer Craig Tinder. The Royal Wulff, a classic pattern in its own right is an equally beautiful fly that does not imitate a particular insect, but acts more as an attractor pattern. Each fly in painstakingly crafted and is embedded inside this 2" thick canvas print to create its own shadow box - a true collectible in its own right.

Paper Print (Options D & E):

Each Limited Edition Fine Art Print is printed on archival presentation-quality, 260 GSM / 10 Mil, photographic paper created using the highest quality inks and archival techniques. Photographs do not do this paper substrate justice as it practically "glows" on the wall.

The Story Behind the Print:

Also known as the Brigit, the California golden trout's native range is in the higher elevations of the southern Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Discovered in 1892 by the first President of Stanford University, the golden trout is widely regarded as the most beautiful of all trout. Unlike other salmonoids, the golden trout maintains its juvenile parr marks into adulthood. Although golden trout average 6 to 11 inches, a specimen over 12 inches is considered a trophy.
