WW2 V-2 Rocket Fragment (Blizna Poland Test Site) with Data Plate - RARE!

This is our last remaining fragment of an experimental prototype of the dreaded V-2 missile.

Uncovered in Blizna, Poland (second test launch site after the August 1943 air raid on Peenemünde), many V-2 fragments were recovered in the area. This piece was imported directly in 2017 in a large cache of V-2 aluminum, steel, and carbon graphite parts. Wernher von Braun visited the training ground Blizna Heidelager in May 1944 for 15 days .

About:

Developed during World War II, the A-4 or Aggregat 4, later renamed the Vergeltungswaffe Zwei (Vengeance Weapon 2), was the first long-range ballistic missile to be used in combat and was capable of lofting a one-ton warhead to altitudes exceeding 50 miles and delivering it hundreds of miles downrange.

The A-4/V-2 was designed by Wernher von Braun, a gifted scientist who was recruited by the Third Reich and later would become the father and architect of  NASA'sfamed architect of the Apollo Saturn rocket and moon landing missions.

This item is ideal for collectors of WWII or space memorabilia.
