Beautiful pencil sketch print by Aviation Artist Lonnie Oretga of World War II Japanese Ace Sub-Lt. Saburo Sakai. The print shows the Mitsubishi A6M2 Reisen (Zero-Sen) flown in July, 1942 from Lae, New Guinea by Lt. Saburo Sakai of the Tainan Kokutal, Imperial Japanese Navy Air Force.
Lt. Saburo Sakai, who scored 64 confirmed aerial victories in China and the Pacific before being seriously wounded over Guadalcanal in August, 1942. Finished the War as Japan's third highest ranking ace, and senior surviving figher pilot.
